Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Dual Time 25730ST

The Dual-Time Royal is a highly functional, elegant, and nolonger in production complication within the iconic Royal Oak family, cementingthe reference 25730ST as somewhat of a neo-vintage gem. The 25730 was offered inseveral different dial configurations, with this one perhaps my favorite,retaining the petite tapisserie throughout the dial with warm tritium patinaadding color. The perfectly balanced and interesting dial complicationscombined with an excellent unpolished case in a quite perfect size, and a veryfull set make this already great example a top lot.

Case: The 36 x 46 x 9.8 mm case is in excellentunpolished condition and extremely clean throughout, retaining all its originaland correct finishes, angles, bevels, edges, and corners. The case isexceptional throughout.

Dial: The matte white petite tapisserie dial is exceptionallyclean throughout with warm matching patina on the hour markers and hands. Thedial makes great use of the space, moving the applied AP logo and signature allthe way to 12, with the interesting addition of black hands for the power reserveindicator, date, and second time zone display. I particularly adore the subtle pinball markers at 2 and 6 o’clock.

Movement: The AP Caliber 2229-2845 is based on a JLCebauche and running well at approximately -0.1 s/d, averaged across 6positions. All functions are cleverly adjusted through the crown and somehowmaintain a thin and very well balanced and perfectly wearing package.

Bracelet: The bracelet is in equally excellent conditionand will fit up to an approximate 6-7/8” wrist. All links are in very goodcondition and the bracelet is very solid and tight throughout, with crisp andconfident clasp engagement.
