Breguet Classique 3130BA
Breguet Classique 3130BA
I love that the Breguet Classique line is classically traditional and distinctly Breguet, but by being distinctly Breguet, the design are relatively wild, unique, and innovative even by today’s standards. The reference 3130 might be the archetype for that logic, calling back to Abraham-Louis Breguet’s pocket watch No. 5, born nearly 250 years ago!
The 3130 in particular balances legibility, classic watchmaking, elegance, and negative space like very few can. There’s something beautiful in the asymmetry of the dial driven by the distinctly “Breguet” power reserve and moonphase complications.
Reference: Breguet Classique 3130BA
Case: The 36 x 43 x 7.2 solid yellow gold case is in good overall condition showing minor scratches throughout as pictured. It presents with honest, charming wear that is not noticeable on wrist.
Dial: The “MK 4” Dial is perfectly clean, showcasing the myriads of finishing techniques on display, along with the richly saturated heat blued hands. The engraved moonphase disc is equally charming.
Movement: The caliber 502 is an ultra-thin Frederic Piguet Caliber 71 derived automatic winding movement featuring an offset microtor. The watch is winding, setting, and running smoothly at approximately +2 s/d, averaged across 6 positions.
Strap: The watch is presented on a B&R Bands Saffiano leather strap and the original signed yellow gold deployant clasp with crisp hallmarks.
Includes: Watch and deployant only.
