Rolex Day-Date 18238 Enamel Roman Dial

$
24850
Brand:
Rolex
Reference:
18238
Year:
1993
Condition:
Pre-Owned

This is exactly the kind of case condition I like, full, extremely sharp, very clean, but not NOS, this can be worn! The small applied Roman numeral dial is a personal favorite of mine, I adore the restrained squeezed font, particularly on the “X” and very sharp “V”’s. It’s just a damn attractive example with excellent case, warm tritium lume, and tight bracelet.

Reference: Day-Date 18238 “double quickset”

Case: 36 x 44 x 11.8 mm excellent, very sharp 18K gold case with 18238 reference and circa 1993, S7 serial number perfectly intact, and hallmarks all very crisp, sharp and well defined. The fluted bezel is equally sharp, crisp, and well defined. The only imperfections of note are light scratches to the backs of the lugs from bracelet removal.

Dial: The “small Roman” enamel white dial is in excellent condition with glossy richness and depth, warm tritium lume on the dial and matching hands, and sand colored day and date discs.

Movement: The Rolex caliber 3155 movement is a “double quick” set with hacking seconds, winding, setting, and running smoothly at approximately -1 s/d averaged across 6 positions.

Bracelet: The watch is presented on an equally sharp and nice president bracelet with very sharp hallmarks present. The watch has 22 links and 4 screws (2 removable links) and will fit an approximate 6.75" wrist.
