meticulist.net turns 3!!!

This week marks the third anniversary of meticulist.net, and I’m happy to report that the site will be continuing for another year. And it’s thanks to anyone and everyone that reads, comments, shares, follows etc., that keeps me going with it, I cannot thank you all enough. The emails, comments, and messages I receive truly keep me motivated, and are what provides the ideas for upcoming topics. With that said, I would love to hear any comments, suggestions, or questions you may have for future topics.

Year Three

For year three, I would like to shift more focus to in-depth posts, reviews, and the really nerdy content bringing together what’s otherwise scattered about the internet. This means, I will most likely be reducing the number of regular and recurring posts now that there is quite a bit of content and guides throughout the site.

Reviews and Product Development

See this link in the original post

Many of the highest trafficked posts on the site are the in-depth, real world, (not-sponsored), reviews of the really niche interests covered like the Ownership Report - Audi RS3 Long Term Review from Daily Driver, my in-depth personal story about Falling in Love With the Rolex Explorer 1, or the all-time most visited post, the Santa Cruz Tallboy 27.5 Plus Review and follow up posts. I would like to do even more of these, as they’re fun to do, and the feedback I receive on them does indicate at least some of the really nerdy folk out there appreciate them. With that said, if you have a coffee, watch, a watch strap, car detailing products, whatever that you would like to see me review, please get in touch and make the suggestion or if you are the manufacturer, I’d be happy to discuss if it’s a good fit as well.

Because I own all of my own content, if you’re not comfortable with sending a product for public review, but would still like feedback, I’m also open to product testing and development, and have found that work to be really fun and engaging.

In-Depth

The other type of posts that I would like to continue are the in-depth, nerdy content pulling together all of the things I’ve read and learned over the years from all over. Posts like the “Best Single Dosing Grinders,” the “Improving Espresso” series, or the “How to Plumb in your Espresso Machine” series. These posts usually come out of an email or message I receive where someone has a question I haven’t covered, would like a deeper explanation, or spurs a new topic. In short, these posts largely come from you, the readers; so if you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Support

Last, but not least is support of the site. The site is by no means generating income, with the goal being to cover costs of domain registration, web hosting, and any little bit towards the coffee and gear I purchase. If you would like to support the site, please consider doing your Amazon shopping through the links below or in any of the blog pages. Meticulist.net participates in the Amazon Affiliate program, where I receive a (very) small commission for purchases made through the links, even if you’re not buy the linked the product. This does not impact your shopping experience or the price you pay, and further details can be found in the Contact/About page here. Bottom line, is that I’m not an internet or social marketer, nor do I have the time or energy to learn how to become one, but I do know that when you shop through the links on the site, every little bit helps.

Advertising

I have probably turned down more advertising options than anything, but if you have a product or brand that aligns well with the site theme and overall principles (well made, thoughtful products), please reach out, I’d be happy to discuss any opportunities. My main qualifier is that it has to be a product that I would stand behind, purchase and use myself, and/or recommend to someone trusting. I will not advertise something I don’t believe in.

Thank you!

Whether this is your first time visiting the site or you check back weekly, thank you so much for visiting and reading along. This site started at the suggestion of many friends to compile my research and findings and truly serves as a resource to the meticulously minded. It’s your comments, feedback, questions, and suggestions that keep me motivated and continue to generate content, and as long as that keeps coming, I will keep striving to bring quality information to the meticulist.
