The Blancpain Leman Chronograph Flyback Grande Date is a robust tool watch made refined and supremely sophisticated. A very solid 40 mm stainless steel case is paired with an abundance of lume from the massively sporty sword hands and lumed Arabic numerals for a decidedly sporty appearance. But look further and this is high-complication and luxury level stuff: a self-winding flyback column wheel chronograph with dual window date, a multi-stepped high gloss black dial that just looks high end, and fine finishing details throughout such as the red tipped seconds hand, the stepped bezel case, and heat blued screws in the movement.

Case: The 40 x 45 x 14 mm stainless steel case is in very good condition throughout, exhibiting only minor surface wear, and appears to be unpolished.

Dial: The signature Leman black dials are truly special in person, they have this richness and depth to them that is deeply saturated yet very reflective at certain angles, really playing with light. The dial is multi-stepped with so many little finishing details throughout. Compare this with the likes of a Daytona dial and you start to see how the price doesn’t feel high enough. The dial is free from any imperfections.

Movement: The caliber 69F8 automatic winding column wheel chronograph with flyback function, quickset date, and screw down crown and pushers is winding, setting, and running smoothly at approximately -5 s/d, averaged across 6 positions.

Strap: The original black leather strap is in good condition and paired with it’s original signed deployant clasp also in great condition.
