Breguet Classique Chronograph Ref. 3237 Box and Papers
Breguet Classique Chronograph Ref. 3237 Box and Papers
An absolute icon resulting from the Daniel Roth era at the historically important Montres Breguet, the reference 3237 features the beautifully finished Lemania 2310 hand wound movement, signature coin edged mid case and construction, Classique signature guilloche dial, and deeply saturated blued Breguet style hands.
This example exhibits an excellent case with warm light warm patina on the crown side and is further complemented by its original box and papers.
Case: the 36mm solid gold case measures 44mm lug to lug and 10mm thick with 18mm lug width. The case is in overall very nice condition, believed to be unpolished, retaining all original lines and finishing. Light surface swirls are present on the bezel and lugs, consistent with light wear for the age. The crown and pusher side of the case exhibits very light surface patina as pictured.
Dial: the hand guilloche dial features radially brushed metallic hour, minutes, and subregister tracks, the traditional clos de Paris guilloche pattern throughout and a wavy pattern in the subregisters. The dial and hands are clean and free from defect.
Movement: the Breguet caliber 533 is a modified Lemania 2310 with cotes de Geneve finishing, a swan’s neck regulator, and Breguet overcoil hairspring. The infamous movement shared with the likes of Patek and Vacheron chronographs is winding very crisp and setting smoothly, running at approximately +3.5 s/d, averaged across 6 positions. The chronograph functions properly with excellent feel and reset.
Strap: The watch is presented on a Handdn Lizard strap in like new condition with gold plated buckle.
Includes: Original inner and outer boxes with travel pouch, and certificate of origin.
