Daniel Roth Le Sentier Gold S177
Daniel Roth Le Sentier Gold S177
Quintessential Daniel Roth design and DNA through and through, in a very rare configuration with yellow gold case. These are most commonly seen with steel cases, making this example a true gem. The Daniel Roth double ellipse case shape wears very comfortably and sits well on a wide variety of wrists and the complemented by the signature ribbed guilloche dial and deep heat blued hands.
Reference: Le Sentier S177 Yellow Gold
Case: The 35 × 41.5 × 7.5 mm thick 18-Carat yellow gold case case is in very good condition throughout, free of any notable scratches or imperfections, appearing to be unpolished.
Dial: The classic Le Sentier dial layout with vertical guilloche pattern enclosed within a guilloche border is free of any imperfections, and the rich heat blued hands, with lume filled hour and minute pointers absolutely pop against this dial. I particularly adore the intentionality of hand length and proportions that not only create great legibility, but the curved-bar counter weight on the central seconds hand perfectly matches the interior radius of the hour triangle, perfectly mating once per minute.
Movement: The quickset date and hacking seconds Girard Perregaux derived movement is winding, setting, date changing properly, with positive engagement of the screw down crown as well. The watch is running very well at approximately +10 s/d across six positions, service history is unknown.
Strap: The watch is presented on a new taupe textured calfskin strap with plated buckle.
