H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Center Seconds Cosmic Green Ref. 3201-1201
H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Center Seconds Cosmic Green Ref. 3201-1201
Take independent, artisanal watchmaking, with a fume dial, make it sporty, and what you get is the H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Cosmic Center Seconds. A sumptuous gradient fume “Cosmic Green” with hidden signature dial combined with ample lume, screwdown crown, and automatic winding movement, sporty matte case, and rubber strap, without sacrificing any refinement and finishing presented on the indices and hands, and certainly showcased on the beautifully finished movement.
With Moser, the dial is typically the star of the show, and this one is stunning, but the movement has absolutely delighted me. I love the unique darker color treatment, which provides lovely contrast to the flashes of polished gold, brass, and lighter (and airy) winding rotor. The finishing throughout the movement is top notch, and I was most surprised by the amount of depth on view thanks to the very open architecture.

Case: The 40 x 48 x 12 mm stainless steel case is predominantly a matte brushed finish save for the polished sides showcasing relief in the very comfortable downturned lug profile. The case exhibits very minor, typical surface swirls, free of any notable imperfections. It is unpolished and in overall very good condition.
Dial: The fume Cosmic Green dial is rich, moody, restrained, mysterious, and beautiful. Executed in a lesser seen color in the watch world, but done so in a very elegant, refined, (not shouty) manner, particularly thanks to the hidden signatured in relief. The dial is free of any imperfections, showcasing sporty but very refined lume filled hands, polished indices, and subtle lume plots at the hour markers.
Movement: The in-house caliber HMC 201 movement features open architecture to showcase the beautiful finishing in a distinct darker tone complete with perlage, anglage, cotes de Geneve, black polished screws, chatons, and HMC seal. The watch is winding, setting, and running smoothly at approximately +4 s/d, averaged across 6 positions.
Strap: Presented on the original OEM rubber strap with signed buckle measuring 120 x 75 mm.
Includes: Full set including outer sleeve, outer box, inner box, hang tag, and warranty cards, dated 2025.
