A watch that I didn’t quite understand in photos, but is an absolute delight in person. Here you’re treated to both a wandering and jumping hour complication, with running seconds, and the most unassuming reflection trick of a domed crystal and concave black dial that create an optical illusion at off angles, presenting as a black hole or almost as if you can see into the movement depending on the angle and the light. I frequently find wandering and jump hour complications to be very cool, but slightly plain or sterile as they typically omit seconds and/or fill the dial with an abundance of open space. The Vincent provides the movement in the form of the running seconds, a legible and clean presentation of the minutes around the outer track and the depth and richness in the black hour disc track. As a bonus, the hour is represented as a letter every 3 hours to indicate the cardinal hour markers. Paired with one of the coolest boxes in the game, this is true independent watchmaking and interesting horology at an incredibly accessible price.

Case: The 36 x 44 x 9.3 mm stainless steel case wears very nicely and is in excellent condition throughout, as photographed. The protective film on the caseback is still present and only minor surface swirls are shown.

Dial: The seemingly matte black dial has a black hole depth and darkness to it due to the domed crystal and strategic concavity and reflective nature of the center and out tracks, it’s truly very wild on wrist, creating this floating central hub for the center seconds that adds so much depth and character. The dial is free of any defects.

Movement: Inside the wandering and jumping hours movement beats an ETA base automatic winding movement that is winding, setting, and running smoothly at approximately +10 s/d, averaged across 6 positions.

Strap: Presented on its original black crocodile standard length strap measuring 110 x 75 with the original signed steel buckle.

Includes: Original “book” box, cleaning cloth, undated certificate, and custom Handdn gray suede strap measuring 105 x 65 mm.
